Joe Biden makes it perfectly clear that he despises his political opponents.
But no one thought his administration could take it this far.
And Joe Biden won’t lift a finger to help a dad jailed in a foreign country for this infuriating reason.
These kids’ father was imprisoned by a tiny British territory while American officials refused to lift a finger in a nod to the Biden administration’s radical agenda
A birthday vacation to the sun-drenched islands of Turks and Caicos – a British territory in the Caribbean – turned into a nightmare for an Oklahoma couple.
Ryan and Valerie Watson were at the airport to head back home when they were questioned by airport police.
A search of his backpack uncovered some ammunition that he used for a hunting trip that he forgot was in the bag.
“They were hunting ammunition rounds that I use for whitetail deer,” Watson told NBC Boston. “I recognized them, and I thought, ‘Oh, man, what a bonehead mistake that I had no idea that those were in there.'”
In the United States, if the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) finds ammunition on a traveler, it usually results in a fine.
A vacation in the Caribbean turns into a nightmare
But a new law passed in Turks and Caicos requires that anyone who brings a firearm or ammunition to the islands receive a minimum 12-year prison sentence.
Ryan Watson was able to raise the $12,000 needed to post bail, but he’s stuck on the islands surrounded by uncertainty.
His next court date isn’t until June 7.
Valerie Watson had the charges dropped against her and was able to return home to Oklahoma to the couple’s two young children.
That uncertainty surrounding their dad’s situation is a soul-shattering experience for the family.
“Being in our home without him is really weird. It’s been busy. I really haven’t even spent much time with the kids yet. This is our new reality, and it’s pretty terrible,” Valerie Watson said.
She pointed out that TSA never found the ammunition in the bag when Ryan carried it on to their flight to Turks and Caicos.
Where’s the Biden administration to help an American in a jam overseas
Normally, the federal government would be the first option for help for the Watsons in this situation.
But the State Department simply put out a release that they wouldn’t be able to do anything.
“Carefully check your luggage for stray ammunition or forgotten weapons before departing from the United States. If you bring a firearm or ammunition into TCI, even inadvertently, we will not be able to secure your release from custody,” the U.S. Embassy in Nassau, Bahamas, stated.
A gun owner from the ruby-red state of Oklahoma who made an innocent mistake isn’t a priority for the administration.
However, when a woke celebrity was arrested overseas, it became a top priority for President Joe Biden.
WNBA star Brittney Griner was arrested in Russia for breaking the country’s strict laws on illegal drug possession when she decided to take vape cartridges containing cannabis oil onto a plane.
The Biden administration made her a top priority even though she willfully broke Russian law.
Ryan Watson isn’t a celebrity, but he can’t even get the State Department to lift a finger to help.
