Many young people these days do not understand that actions have consequences.
As they say, play stupid games and win stupid prizes.
And a young punk got a ruthless lesson after forgetting these crucial pieces of equipment.
This incident just demonstrated an important range guideline
Millions of Americans hit the shooting range on a regular basis.
Some go to practice their self defense skills, others go to prepare for hunting season, and others go simply for fun.
Meanwhile, some people go to the shooting range without any idea what they’re doing, putting their life and others at risk.
For example, a video recently went viral that was shared by a young punk at a range that showed him getting pulled up short as he’s about to use an AR-style pistol.
The young man did not have any sights on his firearm, prompting range staff to say something to him.
In the video, a range staffer can be heard asking the person if he has any sights for the gun, and the young person seemed completely confused.
YouTuber and gun enthusiast Colion Noir shared the video three weeks ago, and the video has already stacked up nearly 200,000 views.
As Noir points out, the shooter in the video originally shared the footage.
One individual then commented on it, questioning why people were making a big deal about the lack of sights and insisting in all caps that people should be allowed to run their own guns without sights if they want – a comment the no-sights punk actually pinned to the top of the video.
Noir then explains why this comment is dangerous and plain stupid.
Per Noir, shooting AR-style pistols without sights is flat-out “f*cking dangerous.”
For the uninitiated, a shooter without sights on an AR pistol would have a difficult time quickly seeing if the gun is rising and bullets could fly in unintended directions and put lives at risk.
AR-style pistols in particular can rise considerably while shooting, making them especially unpredictable.
Without the sight picture providing immediate feedback, rounds could fly into the ceiling at an indoor range – or as far as 2 or 3 miles at open-air ranges – almost before a shooter realizes the gun has started climbing.
As YouTuber Coloin Noir says in his video, learning gun safety takes time, but it ultimately falls on the gun owner to know what they are doing at the range.
Many devices have emerged in recent years which allow gun owners to practice within their own homes before going to the range.
These devices require you to remove the bolt, allowing you to install the device inside.
When the trigger is pulled, a laser point comes from the barrel, allowing people to get comfortable with their firearms before going to the range.
Regardless of how you want to practice shooting, make sure you do not end up on a viral YouTube video for the wrong reasons.
Too many young people know nothing about gun safety
Many schools have removed gun safety lessons from the lesson plan as part of the Left’s anti-gun crusade.
This means that many people have no idea how to safely use or operate a firearm.
Parents should also take it upon themselves to ensure their children know the ins and outs of gun safety.
