Humans can get some unexpected company on the ski slopes.
A pair of friends caught a shocking encounter on video.
And a skier in the Rocky Mountains was in the race of his life against this wild animal.
The Jackson Hole Mountain Resort in Teton Village, Wyoming, is one of the most renowned ski resorts in North America.
It features some of the steepest slopes in the country, located in the Teton Range of the Rocky Mountains.
A trio of friends ended up on ABC’s Good Morning America after they recorded their encounter with a bull moose at the resort.
Bull moose gets in on the action at Wyoming ski resort
Alex Momot, Billy Fohey, and Kenny Rynearson captured a bull moose in full gallop heading down a slope filled with skiers and snowboarders at the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort.
A video they took showed the moose moving down the slope from multiple angles.
“Nothing like [taking] a corner and almost hitting a moose 10ft from you then watching it chase your buddy down the hill,” Fohey remarked.
At one point the moose bolted toward Rynearson.
“Oh s***! It’s chasing Kenny,” one of them yelled in the video.
“Go faster!” someone else shouted.
The moose got close to several of the skiers and snowboarders in the video, but thankfully, no one was harmed.
Eventually, the moose slowed down and wandered off into a wooded area towards the base of the slope.
“I did not have Moose chasing us down the mountain on my bingo card,” Rynearson said.

“I caught a little bit of air, and the moose was within ten feet of me,” Fohey told Good Morning America.
“I was moving pretty fast—as was the moose…In the moment, [I was surprised] knowing that type of animal can be very aggressive, especially out in the wild.”
“We out-ran the moose, and nobody was harmed,” Momot said about the encounter.
A bull moose is one of the biggest animals in the country
Moose is the second largest land animal in North America behind Bison.
A male bull moose can weigh up to 1,500 pounds and can stand nearly seven feet tall at the shoulders with massive antlers.
The bull moose charging down the Jackson Hole ski slope could have hit speeds up to 35 miles per hour.
A collision with it would have been similar to being hit by a smart car.
Black bear sighted at same ski resort
Wild animals wandering onto the slopes at Jackson Hole aren’t uncommon.
A black bear that had woken up from its winter hibernation wandered on the slope before disappearing, likely to go back to sleep, according to the Wyoming Game and Fish Department.
“It sounded like it was a relatively brief encounter fairly high up on the mountain where the bear just wanted to head for the trees and wasn’t seen again. So, no conflict and pretty normal bear behavior. I haven’t heard of any additional sightings,” Wyoming Game and Fish spokesman Marke Gocke told Cowboy State Daily.
Skiers have to be on their toes when they’re in the majestic Teton range.
