Politicians aren’t always cut from the best cloth.
That can lead them into a world of trouble.
And these Colorado Ban sponsors just received a brutal reality check
Don’t let the door hit you on the way out
This year, Colorado’s state legislature passed a slew of anti-freedom bills, quickly putting the once beautiful state on par with California and Illinois.
Colorado may be trending more and more blue, but not everything is lost, at least.
Democrat legislators and open socialists, Rep. Tim Hernandez and Rep. Elisabeth Epps, both lost their re-election bid in the primary elections this past week.
Backlash against the Far-Left
Reps. Hernandez and Epps are part of Colorado’s version of “the Squad.” They are economically illiterate communists who get their thrills from stripping rights and freedoms away from Colorado citizens.
Hernandez, a school teacher, won his seat via a vacancy committee and this was the first time he had to face actual voters.
Seen in the picture below, Hernandez is sporting his usual business attire of a Che shirt, memorializing a Communist mass murderer.
Our campaign team knocked thousands of doors in the past 3 days—and with thousands of outstanding ballots, we may not know tonight!
In this moment I only feel proud & grateful: proud of how hard we worked and what we stand for, and grateful to be held by the love of community. pic.twitter.com/gvVeWnTS8x

Elisabeth Epps, the other loser Representative, is a public supporter of a group called Democratic Socialists of America.
It should come as no surprise Hernandez and Epps were the prime House sponsors on the Colorado Assault Weapons Ban bill, which passed the House but went down in flames in the Senate.
During testimony on their Assault Weapons Ban proposal, Epps ranted that she would not “go ten toes down for a piece of paper,” referring to the Second Amendment.
If it had become law, the bill would have banned the possession or transfer of nearly every semiautomatic firearm in Colorado, making it one of the most extensive gun grabs in the country.
Epps blamed Democrat leadership for failing to get the ban across the finish line, which was only one of the many public headbutts Epps and Hernandez had with party leadership.
Both received primary challenges from (slightly) more moderate candidates this year and the results were astounding.

Both of the Assault Weapons Ban bill sponsors were soundly defeated by members of their own party.
Are Gun rights safe in Colorado now?
So with the defeat of two gun grabbers, are Colorado gun owners safe from more infringements?
Well, no.
Colorado still passed more than a dozen anti-gun bills last legislative session and the defeat of Epps and Hernandez won’t cause any of the Democrats to shy away from introducing more anti-freedom bills.
Democrats still hold the Senate and have a supermajority in the House, and neither of those are likely to flip red in November.
That said, it is possible that appetite for an Assault Weapons Ban bill may be lower in next year’s session for a variety of reasons. Mainline Democrats in Colorado are still hesitant to push that far, at least for the time being.
Pro-gun groups like Rocky Mountain Gun Owners have made huge waves taking out anti-gun politicians in the past, causing legislators in swing districts heartburn every time they have to take a vote on gun issues.
Still, just because Epps and Hernandez are gone does not mean the Assault Weapons Ban issue is dead altogether. Still remaining in the Colorado legislature is prime sponsor Andrew Boesenecker and Senator Tom Sullivan. Both of whom have made guns their hallmark issue.
Gun rights in Colorado are still very much on life support.
Personally, I think every Representative who voted for the Assault Weapons Ban last year should be thrown out of office, do you agree?
