Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg inserted himself into American politics like no figure, perhaps ever, with his prosecution of Donald Trump.
Now Bragg has reinserted himself into the news for all of the wrong reasons again.
And Jim Jordan is promising hell to pay over this jaw-dropping allegation against Alvin Bragg.
Tech giant may have acted at the request of Alvin Bragg in content decision over youth access to firearms videos
Many people can remember the first time they shot a gun.
For most, this happened at a young age under the very close supervision of their father or another trusted adult.
I will never forget the first time I shot a gun at the age of 8, shooting my dad’s 16-gauge shotgun while joining him on a rabbit hunt.
Let’s just say it knocked me to my ass, but this early experience taught me a lot about proper posture, and it did not take long before I was back to shooting.
Like learning a language, or riding a bike, teaching children the importance of gun safety from a young age helps to establish an early interest in firearms, as well as making shooting and hunting safer for everybody involved.
As with everything related to firearms, the radical Left has taken issue with exposing guns and gun safety to children and young people.
Just recently, video streaming giant YouTube changed its policies, now banning people under the age of 18 from viewing content related to firearms.
This policy change came as radical leftists, including New York City District Attorney Alvin Bragg, have urged the platform to bar minors from viewing such content even though minors have the right to handle firearms in most states.
In response to this policy change, Member of Congress Jim Jordan (R-OH) penned a letter to YouTube, asking the tech giant to explain its decision to ban gun-related content for minors.
In his letter, Jordan claimed, “Recent reporting and other publicly available information suggests that YouTube’s decision to change its firearms policy may have been influenced by government officials and third parties interested in suppressing certain Second Amendment-related content.”
“Given that YouTube has censored First Amendment-protected speech as a result of government agencies’ requests and demands in the past, these revelations raise serious concerns about whether and to what extent the Executive Branch is working with third parties and other intermediaries to coerce and/or collude with YouTube to censor lawful speech regarding the Second Amendment and firearms,” the outraged Ohio lawmaker charged.
Jordan also specifically cited Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg in his letter, accusing YouTube of caving to his radical demands.
Since taking office, Alvin Bragg has come under fire for what many New Yorkers view as a failure to properly address rising crime rates in New York City.
Many of Bragg’s critics have pointed to his alleged politically-motivated projects, such as taking Donald Trump to court, claiming that he has prioritized politics over prosecuting actual criminals to keep New Yorkers safe.
Now those critics can add Bragg’s seemingly successful attempt to influence content policy concerning firearms at YouTube to that list.
But whatever Bragg’s motivations, the fact is history has shown that when the powers that be move to deprive citizens of certain information and certain technologies – like say firearms and firearms training – it never ends well.
A larger agenda to keep firearms knowledge from the next generation
For the vast majority of America’s history, children were expected to learn how to properly own and operate a gun.
Many schools to this day offer shooting and archery courses to students, also teaching these children the importance of gun safety.
Joe Biden and his administration took decisive measures to defund these programs, which were overturned after these efforts were met with rare bipartisan dissent.
YouTube’s latest move presents the most recent step taken by the American Left to demonize gun ownership and gun owners.
